Project – Queens Court, Blackpool
Works – Concrete Repairs and Balcony Waterproofing
Manufacturer – Fosroc Ltd
Summary – Grade 2 Structural Repairs Ltd were appointed by the Queens Court Management Committee to undertake concrete repairs and balcony coatings to 12no balconies across a residential complex.
Prior to the works the balconies where showing signs of concrete delamination on the soffits and external faces, corroded steel reinforcement was visible on the soffits where the coating had delaminated from the substrate.
The team carefully reformed each balcony using concrete repair mortar, applying a fairing coat and anti-carbonation coatings to finish the soffits and faces. The balcony deck was finished using Fosroc waterproofing membranes, and the client received a long-term guarantee.


Project – West Kirby Train Station
Works – Concrete Repairs and Protection

Summary – Grade 2 Structural Repairs Ltd were appointed by Network Rail to undertake a major concrete repairs and protection scheme to West Kirby Train Station.
Prior to the works the existing coating was showing signs of delamination and corroded steel reinforcement was visible on the soffits where concrete repairs where spalling.
Over a strict 12 week programme our in house teams carried out the following works:
- Abrasive blasting to remove all existing defective coatings.
- Traditional hand placed concrete repairs to soffits and columns using the Sika MonoTop 610 and Sika MonoTop 615.
- Application of Sika anti-carbonation coatings to all soffits and columns.
Our 6 person team worked 12 hour shifts through-out the project to ensure the project was delivered within a very strict 6 week programme.
To our clients delight the project was finished with one day spare enabling a swift handover to ensure the station could re-open as intended with minimum downtime.
All works were carried out as per Sika Specification and the client received a long term guarantee.






Project – Scandinavia Hotel
Works – Concrete Repairs and Re-decoration

Summary – Grade 2 Structural Repairs Ltd were appointed by George Downing Construction to undertake concrete repairs and re-decoration to the Scandinavian Hotel, a Grade II Listed Building on the outskirts of Liverpool city centre.
The team carefully reformed the ornate features and window heads using Fosroc concrete repair mortars. Our teams also carried out masonry repairs and brick stitching as part of the wider scope of works, followed by the re-decoration of the full external façade.
The client was delighted with the scheme and the development was fully let to students on completion.



Project – Bronshill Court

Summary – Grade 2 Structural Repairs Ltd were appointed by the Bronshill Court Management Committee to undertake concrete repairs to all window heads and 27no balconies across a residential complex.
The property is located in a near marine environment and was highly exposed to salts and poor weather conditions on the seafront, corrosion was evident in the majority of locations with steel reinforcement visible where concrete was spalling.
The team carefully reformed each balcony using concrete repair mortar, applying a fairing coat and anti-carbonation coatings to finish the soffits and faces.
All works were carried out as per Sika Specification and the client received a long term guarantee.
