Stroke Association £4200 fund Raiser!
On Saturday the 2nd of August a fantastic event took place in the very heart of the city. Standing 85 metres high is the Liverpool cathedral, one of the most prestigious and famous landmarks that Liverpool still boasts today.
The event organised by the Stroke Association was for anyone brave enough (or stupid enough!) to abseil off the top of this jaw dropping monument, and luckily enough for Grade 2 we had the perfect guys for the job. John Rogerson and Max Finley volunteered at first hint of the challenge on hand. The pair managed to complete the challenge together, meanwhile stopping for a photo shoot midway to showcase the sheer height, views and achievement of completing the event-all for a great cause! John, Max and all of Grade 2 are happy to have been involved in such a great event, which raised a whopping £4200.00 for the Stroke Association.
For more information on similar events or to make a donation please visit www.stroke.org.uk, this is a fantastic charity and we have had great pleasure working with them! During his time working with Intergen (Essex) with Grade 2, Director Dave Dinsdale took part in a great £3000.00 donation to the lifesaving service provided to us by the Essex Air Ambulance. Completely funded by charitable donations the air ambulance saves hundreds of lives every year. Without its service these unsung heroes wouldn’t be able to help our society today!
